Bipul Chettri(Nepali:विपुल क्षेत्री) is a Nepali singer/songwriter from Kalimpong, a town in Darjeeling district of West Bengal India. He sings folk music from the Eastern Himalayas with a contemporary western touch. His debut album,Sketches of Darjeeling, was released in July 2014.He is currently the head of the Arts Department in Vasant Valley School, a leading school in India.
Bipul is a singer/songwriter from Kalimpong, Darjeeling, based in New Delhi.

Bipul attended St. Augustine’s School in Kalimpong, Darjeeling and subsequently graduated with an LTCL in Western Classical Guitar from the Trinity Music School of London

His debut album ‘Sketches of Darjeeling’ was received by listeners with huge appreciation. Subsequently, he released the first Single ‘Syndicate’ from his follow-up album at the end of Jan ‘15 and climbed up to No. 1 after only two days. He was the ‘Top Selling Artiste’ for 2014-15, and was in the Top Ten for 2015-16, on OKListen.Com, an indie retail music site in India. He won the ‘Pop-Rock Album of the Year’ for ‘Sketches of Darjeeling’, ‘Best Pop-Rock Composition of the Year’ & ‘Best Male Pop Vocal Performance of the Year’ for his song Syndicate at the recently concluded Hero Hits FM 91.2 Awards.

A LTCL (Licentiate of Trinity College, London) Diploma holder in classical guitar, Bipul has now ventured into the contemporary folk/folk rock genre. He is also the first and only Nepali language singer/songwriter to have been endorsed by Epiphone Guitars (Gibson India). His music’s popularity is evident on social platforms like ‘SoundCloud’ and ‘YouTube’ and has received tremendous radio airplays across the world.

He has performed at sold-out concerts in India, U.K. Australia, Hong Kong, Dubai and Nepal while more performances are scheduled this year. He is currently in the studio recording his follow-up album “Maya’.
