Dear friends
It is with great pleasure, we would like to bring to your kind attention that an Interaction Program of Nepali American IT Engineers residing in Greater Washington DC area (northern Virginia and Maryland/DC Metro area) has been scheduled on 18th. September, 2016
The birth of a professional organization in some ways imitates the birth of human being in that some people first conceive the idea, internalize it and organize their efforts to create necessary conditions which will facilitate the birth of an organization. About two years ago (2014), few IT engineers living in the Greater Washington DC metro area informally started a discussion about the need of an IT networking organization to bring professionals working in various disciplines of Information Technology and Computer Science in an organizational network. We have seen a tremendous growth in the number of IT engineers of Nepali origin in USA in general and Greater Washington DC metro area in particular over the last 8-10 years.
As a result of this idea of bringing IT professionals in an organizational network, a working coordination committee was formed to initiate and carry out the basic tasks. The coordination committee is very pleased to announce that it has completed the necessary tasks of creating bylaws, constructing website (still evolving), logo, banners and database of IT professionals (evolving) in the DC metro area. We would like to present and share with you all these tasks the coordination committee has completed so far and seek your feedbacks, ideas and suggestions for improvements and the guidelines for going forward.
We strongly urge you all to participate enthusiastically in this interaction program that has been scheduled on September 18th (Sunday). Please come with ideas as to how best this evolving organization can serve the intended purpose of promoting professional growth and advancement of Nepali Americans IT Engineers and facilitate their increased participation and contribution to the development and transfer of technology for the greater benefits of humanity here in USA and our beloved motherland Nepal. If you have any question or query in regard to this interaction program, please contact the members of the coordination committee. Thank you very much.
